A late night game of truth brings amazement to my eyes. With one little miss chanting "secrets and lies" and another little miss discovering the finer sides of subtlety, we laid our inhibitions aside. No more pretty pretenses, or well-concocted coverup stories, because in times like these, honesty is persistent and truth doesn't allow for exceptions. Sometimes we think we know everything about the people we love, we read them like books, but really, how much do we know? Only those chapters they hold out in front of us, for dare we delve deeper into pages marked "for my eyes only"?
On another note, an A makes a day and One Space to Fill makes it better. Today has gotten off on a good start, fingers stay crossed as to tonight's verdict.
Yet off on another tangent, what lies between me and my opportunity is one little extension cable. There is a nagging fear that my attempts will prove futile, and some corporate executive will send me a consolation email telling me that I'm not quite there yet. Rejection I can handle, but patronization is salt to the wound. Only hope will suffice disappointment.
