KL Trip

So, the brother, Angie, the mum and I took a trip up to KL over the weekend, all for lots of shopping, lots of yummylicious food and just some good ol' chill out time.

The room

Our lovely studio at Hotel Maya (although we upgraded later due to a broken pipe)/Angie trying out the awesomely cool twisting bed/ mum and the brother in the nice bathroom.

Day 1:
Spent the night walking around KLCC and eating extremely yummy food at Madame Kwan's (The nasi bojari is famous and the chendol is heavenly!).

The many floors of shops at KLCC/ The mandatory Petronas Towers shot (just for the boy).

Day 2: Was too busy shopping to take any shots, but trust that we spent our time reallyreally well at KL Plaza (for the huge FOS) and Sungei Wang (the KL equivalent of Far East but only muchmuch busier). And now, I've got 3 more pairs of prettypretty shoes and a nice dress to boot (all for less than $80sgd)!! :):):)

Day 3: The brother went off for track day at the Sepang Circuit and Angie, mum and I went for breakfast and then down to Time Square to walk around. We went all the way down to buy some fantastic and famous kai paos (chicken buns) but they were sold out (bummer)!! Then off to Time Square (which is always disappointing because there're 10 levels of shops but only one or two decent shoe shops). Then it was off to meet the brother at the track and homeward bound we went!

Trying to take a picture of all 10 levels of shops/The insane roller coaster inside the mall/People on the insane roller coaster inside the mall.

The ride home: The ride home was spent taking photos of all the different types of scenery on the road in a bid to stay awake, but also because Steve asked me to take pictures of the trip but I was too distracted shopping and eating so I was trying to massively make up for this on the way back by taking LOTS of pictures.

Driving down the north-south/Cool plant newbies on the hill!
More scenery along the highway/ Little steps to prevent soil erosion (Steve thought these were the coolest on our way to Tioman)/ One of those huge car-carrying trucks (scary to drive next to!).

The view our the side mirrors/ The brother and the mum driving behind us.

Well, that's that. And now it's back to work and lazing around (hopefully more of the latter). Oh, and I'm leaving August 10th for those of you who still want to meet up! :)
