Steve sent me a link for a talk by Jonathan Harris (
here) and I must say that I lovelovelove it! It's located on the website for the TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) conferences (
http://www.ted.com/) and I have spent the last few hours watching talks on this website and god, I want to go to one of these conferences! I love the idea of people talking about their ideas, their passions, their stories, and it helps that these people are amazingly intelligent and inspired. So far, my favourites are: the talk by Wade Davis (
here) about preserving the earth's ethnosphere, James Natchwey's astounding phtographs of war, disease, famine (
here), the talk by Dr. Larry Brilliant (
here) about the prevention of pandemics.
