And on a completely floozy note..

Reading alot of psychological literature and discovering that academia is not quite like my naive mind conceived. There is so much politics involved, which perhaps has long abounded in most fields of study. Asides from that, my vision is becoming increasingly blurry from reading countless articles on the computer and thus, I think I might need to either seriously invest in a printer or some contacts sometime in the near future, when my bank statement is prettier.

Speaking of bank account balances and my lack of one, here are two shoes that I covet because I cannot afford them as of yet. Sam Edelman's Celine (in red here, although yellow is wonderful as well), a gorgeous flat with eyelet cutouts! LOVE! And also, Mariana by GOLC Madison (in eggplant for the colour lovers, although the cognac/dark brown is lovely as a neutral as well), a stacked heel (completely manageable for those flats-lovers out there) and a peeptoe! I'm thinking this would look lovely with tights for the cooler months.

The days are getting cooler here and I am feeling the shopping itch. On the lookout for a great colour coat, perhaps like this yellow H&M one (only $35!) or this cute houndstooth coat from bitten by sjp (only $20!). And might I say that I lovelove sjp's bitten line. I mean, where else can you find sleepwear/casualwear that is both very cute and veryvery pocket friendly (I don't think there's anything over $30 in that line!). Now if only there was a Stephen & Barry's somewhere in San Francisco where I could get me some.

On a completely unrelated but entirely floozy note as well, Fall premieres (i.e. the beginnings of procrastination) are upon us and I waste precious time watching a whole lot of tv I don't need to be watching. And two things, Heroes: What the hell is happening? And isn't the new storyline strangely reminiscent of the black oil episodes in the x files? and House: Dr. Buffer - that's hilarious!

But yes, tv and shopping aside, life is just full of reading (articles, textbooks, and not-always-comprehendable statistics). Oh, but excitingly enough, I'm going to watch a Bach concert with a Norwegian lab mate in about a week! How exciting, to think of all the years I played Bach as if it were a form of torture and now finally being able to enjoy it :)

And on top of all that, the silly boy sends me a get well penguin :) love, love.
