whining and completely unrelated shopping things.

So from needing to finish my course readings (articles, stats texts, teaching text & instructors manual), prepare for my discussion sections, finish an online teaching course on ethics, buy three (completely unaffordable and ridiculously expensive) textbooks, put up my curtains (which is proving to be a challenging and way-more-effortful job than I expected) to doing mundane necessary things like grocery shop, graduate school is starting to seem like the force that is sucking the life out of me. I seriously need to take a course on how to be more productive.

On the other hand, here are some things that still keep me cheery:

I've been spending all my time browsing the internet, reading hours full of fashion blogs, wishing I had enough resources to buy all the lovely things I see, and just effectively procrastinating from all the things I should be doing.

I've been having a bag craving recently, and have thus made repeated trips into Urban Outfitters on the way home, looking at the same bags, thinking I should buy them, and then putting it off invariably. I really like the blue/tan canvas doctor bag from UO, and the hobo bag is perfect to replace my just-broken (sob!) brown hobo - not to mention I love the colour (as well as the deep teal one) and it has tassles which I lovelovelove. And speaking of tassles, I thought I'd just throw in the Jocasi tassle bag into this odd mix (even though it's completely unaffordable on my budget) because it is just so wonderful. I love the tassles, the versatility of the different straps and the soft-as-a-baby's-bottom leather, and if I could spare what would probably be 150 pounds or so I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Also, I must admit I have never been an Old Navy fan (ghetto gap, hee) mostly due to the oft-seen lack of organization (masses of clothes everywhere and my inability to stay calm in such surroundings - and as such, I'm also sale-shopping-challenged). So walking into the store on Market St in San Francisco the other day was such a surprise because it was organized, mostly spacious and well, nice. But anyhows, I think I am going back to buy this wondrous jumper because I have been wanting something comfy and soft (and with pockets on the side!) and perhaps to try on this awesome looking fleece hoodie/coat because it looks too cute and would probably be great to wear in the-season-that-they-call-winter-here. And lastly, I am still mourning the loss of my black mng cardigan and trying desperately to find a replacement. So I came upon this Lux cardigan whilst browsing the UO website yesterday (yes, pathetic I know, considering there's a store just 5 minutes from my house) and am now seriously considering buying it (although I am also thinking of everything else I want to buy and with that, I am thinking about the fact that rent is due today and that I don't get my first paycheck till the 7th because of some hr mistake, ugh.)
